Organization of Awesomeness

The friendly people behind Ubuntu, a free alternative to Windows XP/Vista, will send you a free CD of their product if you fill out a form online. So I did, and I had them ship it to the Organization of Awesomeness, located at my home address. It said it would take a few weeks to get here, so I just forgot about it. Well, yesterday it came in the mail and I got a pretty good laugh. Here are a couple of pictures!

Karate Today; World at War Tomorrow

November 10th, 2008 § 0 comments

About 15 minutes from leaving to go to karate tonight, I’ve got perogies in my stomach and I’m ready to go. Super pumped about Call of Duty: World at War coming out tomorrow. Co-Op play in the single player campaign = awesome, Nazi Zombie mode = awesomest.

I’ve been making some progress in my calendar webapp, you can check it out here while I have my server running: http://72.138.250.109:444/index.php

And my wonderful cousin-in-law Karen just linked me a pair of wedding rings on Etsy: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?ref=vt_related_1&listing_id=14837461. Wow. I told her if they were $300 cheaper I would absolutely buy them.

Cannot. Stop. Laughing.

I have been laughing so hard for so long, my stomach hurts and tears are flowing from my eyes. The reason? The video below is of an African-American reporter (or, “Oreo” reporter as this video calls him) beginning his report in a normal (or what they call “white man’s” voice). When a bug flies into his mouth, all hell breaks loose, and hilarity ensues. The original video comes first, and then you get to watch one of the best remixes I have ever seen.

My favorite part? The sound he makes when it flies into his mouth. HCKCHCK is the only way to describe it.

Where the Hell is Matt?

This video is of a guy named Matt Harding, and he travels the globe while filming himself doing a pretty hilariously bad dance. I actually found it to be pretty inspiring, how such a basic human condition that resides in all of us can bring us all together. It reminds me of how a smile isn’t specific to language or culture, it is indeed part of the universal human language.

My personal favorite scene is the one from India.
